Changi Airport Terminal 4 Implements AI-Powered Wayfinding Digital Signage

Singapore Changi Airport's Terminal 4 has deployed an advanced digital signage system featuring AI-powered wayfinding and multilingual real-time flight information displays. The system serves 16 million annual passengers with dynamic content in 12 languages.

Singapore Changi Airport, consistently ranked among the world's best airports, has upgraded its Terminal 4 with next-generation digital signage. The deployment includes over 300 displays featuring real-time flight information, interactive wayfinding kiosks, and contextual advertising.

The system uses AI to optimize content delivery based on passenger flow patterns and flight schedules. Integration with the airport's operational systems ensures accurate gate information and delay notifications. The project was completed in partnership with SITA, the air transport IT provider.

Key features include: multilingual support for 12 languages, real-time passenger flow analysis using anonymous camera data, predictive wait time displays for security checkpoints, and personalized retail offers based on flight departure times.

The system has reduced passenger inquiries at information desks by 35% and improved on-time gate arrival rates by 12%. Changi Airport plans to extend the system to Terminals 1, 2, and 3 by 2026.
